I totally agree with your thoughts re: internationalization. Internationalization is par for the course for any major open source project and is one of the key learnings for me in recent years.

Can I clarify that Fotolog wasn't intended to be an international web service per se (at least from the outset?)  

I really like this quote: "unless you are willing to jump in and take a job much of your backseat driving is as useful as backseat driving." That resonated with me and I'm sure represents the feeling of a lot of entrepreneurs who get unintentionally sidetracked by their investors.

I look forward to more movement by betaworks and more stimulating discussions.</description>
